HON. UKO NKOLE KEEPS PROMISE, PROVIDES RELIEF MATERIALS FOR STUDENTS

As earlier promised, the Rep member representating Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole provided relief materials for students within his constituency.

The event which took place at his hometown at Arochukwu was graced with students from the different villages which compromised the constituency. The delegation of students was led by Comr. Frank Eme Orji (NANS Zonal Rep, Abia State), who was accompanied by Hon. Comr Udom Chibuzor (SA (Students) to the Governor) and Hon. Comr. Idika Agwu  Okpo. The Zonal Rep started by introducing all those present, then went ahead to commend the  Rep member for his benevolent act, as he sighted Hon. Uko Nkole, the first person to remember the students community. He thanked the Hon. member for his good works in his constituency and requested other public office holders to emulate same. He also went ahead to request the Hon. member in more palliative measures especially, provisions of work to student leaders who have graduated.

Hon. Uko Nkole, in response to the Zonal Rep, appreciated the students so far, for their good conduct as he urged everyone not to misbehave during this period, he further went ahead to caution students from making derogatory statements against persons in media, especially the
government of the day. He further went ahead to list his achievements for the year and hinted on his moves towards Attracting Songhai farms, which when completed, will employ up to 100,000 youths. He stated some other projects which are still ongoing as he pledged to serve his people in spirit and in truth, as that was the reason why he was elected. He went ahead to promise that he'll have town hall meetings with his students henceforth on quarterly basis.

The SA on Students Affairsto the Governor, Hon Comr Udom Chibuzor, who was present thanked the Hon member for his kind gesture. He stated he wished other public office holders could do the same as this will reduce pressure on the part of the state government as he sighted a recent plea from Abia State students in diaspora especially from the kingdom of Morocco, who currently are calling on the Government to come to their aid during this pandemic. Hon. Chibuzor went ahead to disclose the actions of the state government towards aiding the masses this period as he appreciated the Hon. member for indirectly helping the government.

Hon. Uko Nkole in his vote of thanks, thanked everyone present for coming and promised to abide by everything he earlier said. He donated bags of rice, cartons of indomie and hand sanitizers.
The Zonal Rep then called on all students present to pray for Hon. Uko Nkole for God to keep blessing him and granting him more success. A closing prayer was said and everyone dispersed , happily.

It is worthy to note that Hon. Uko Nkole is the first person to recognize the students community during this pandemic which led to total lockdown and as such, the students community are grateful.

RE: AN EMERGENCY CALL ON ABIA STATE GOVERNOR- DR OKEZIE IKPEAZU TO CONSIDER THE PLIGHT OF HER STUDENTS IN DIASPORA, NIGERIA.

National Association of Nigerian Students, under the leadership of Comr. Eme Orji Frank (NANS Zonal Rep, Abia State) through his SSA on media aide, Comr Amusuo Cajetan Chukwudi reacting to a Clarion call from Comr Iwu Emmanuel, a student of Abia extraction studying in Morocco calling the Abia State government to come the relief of Abia students in diaspora.

Comr Eme Orji Frank, speaking in support with the Clarion call, calls on the SA to the Governor on Students Affairs, Hon. Ndom Chibuzor to help bring the attention of the Governor to the plights of her students.

Comr Iwu Emmanuel, who in his appeal, suggested some steps, he believes will help his fellow students in diaspora and this steps include;
A.
Reach out to all Abia Students across Nigeria, African countries and outside Africa with a MESSAGE OF HOPE FROM THE GOVERNOR, assuring them of this Empathy and encouraging them to abide strictly by the WHO stipulated Health precautions against COVID-19.

B.
Identify where Abia Students are, and consider feasibility of evacuation arrangement to be made, and subsequent Isolation for those coming from high hit countries.

C.
Mobilize and Send Relief Support to encourage these vulnerable students to truly isolate themselves. This will go ahead in ensuring they stay safe, avoid all form of interaction and even cohabitation with friends at this time. This could even come in form of call time, and/or data to keep them studying and keeping abreast online.

NANS, through her Zonal Rep, Comr. Eme Orji Frank calls on the Abia state government through the office of the SA on students affairs to assist her constituents. We cannot fail to appreciate the government of Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D, who has always considered the students community as an integral part of his government and ensuring the education system of Abia has tremendous positive growth, we further plea for him to listen to his students in diaspora.

Alleged statement from HON. UKO NKOLE

Comr.Frank E. Orji, the NANS Zonal leader of Abia State through his SSA on media and Publicity , Comr. Amusuo Chukwudi Cajetan, former Speaker, Students union Government of Abia state university uturu, reacting to one of the fabricated Statement allegedly made by the Federal Rep. Member..

He stated that Hon. Uko Nkole , the distingushed federal member representing Ohafia/ Arochukwu Constituency .
From all indication has always proven worthy as a leader in all ramification and has also shown maximum representation in office whose tremendous achievements and gigantic strides geared towards human development and resources has earned him the title, MR PROJECT.

Stating that its the right of the citizens to checkmate and to hold their leaders accountable as at when due and pertinently, the Fed. Rep. Member has always shown  accountable

However, his attention was called, regarding an alleged Statement made by the fed. Rep. Member , of which Comr. Frank opposed because Hon Uko Nkole is a man that has the interest of his people at heart. Substantive inquiries were carefully and constructively carried out to ascertain the Credibility of the alleged statement as it was finally otherwise as previously opposed.

He therefore called on the public to disregard such contradictory statements against the Distinguished fed. Rep member as it has been confirmed beyond doubts that such statements never emanated from him, as the Fed. Rep. Member has been busy making provision for his constituency.

He said Its a total blackmail to distract the Distinguished  Fed.Rep member from executing his duties and humanitarian Services as usual.

And he therefore advised those involve in such an act to desist from it and apologize to him and to also channel their time, strength in encouraging and praying for the Fed. Rep. Member for more achievements ..
