Seasonal greetings to all Great Nigerian Students, stakeholders and Cadres of our noble Association .

In line with the Untimely death of ELI SAMUEL , A final year degree student of  Abia state College of Education ( technical ) Arochukwu ( ASCETA ) and affiliated with Abia state university uturu ( ABSU) who was murdered by his uncle, Dr  Chimezi Eli  with a knife on 26th December 2019 over a misunderstanding that could be resolved easily..

 From my substantial inquiries , the murderer ran and reported himself to Nigerian police force after the incident and as such is in police custody , secondly the poor widow and mother of late Master  Eli Samuel is not emotionally stable at the moment and as such is hospitalized.

However , i have gotten my facts as regards to what led to the death of my Student and in as much as it is a family matter but we are fully involved in this because my student is a victim.

Therefore, i wish to state our stand as follows:
(1) : That we won't accept it as we are going to get the State government , journalist and other well meaning Abians and Nigerians to be fully involved in this matter.

(2) that we are going to use the weight of our office on this matter by using all available resources no matter what it will cost  to ensure that justice prevail as soon as possible..

(3) that we won't rest, till that uncle of his, is brought to book and as such deserves a death sentence for taking ones life intensional.

I hereby call on all Nigerian Students to get ready for this particular Struggle and solidarity as i urge u all to remain at alert on our next move as injury to one is injury to all ..

Meanwhile i will be on Air at flo FM,  Magic FM , Buzz FM and other radio stations to talk about this matter..

ASCETA recieves NANS Zonal Rep of Abia State Officially

NANS Abia state axis Storms ASCETA, As the Zonal Rep Elect was officially received.

The leadership of NANS Abia State Axis on 17th December 2019 Storms Abia state college of Education ( technical) Arochukwu ( ASCETA), the alma mata of the New NANS Zonal Rep, Comr Frank Eme Orji ,who doubles as a former SUG President of the School.The Visit was Primarily geared on formal presentation and official receiving of the New NANS zonal rep of the State.
 The Powerful NANS Delegation which was led by Comr Cokey lordson Nwachukwu , the immediate Past Zonal rep of the state joined the event held in the institution auditorium and was officially recognized by the management team.
 Shorty after the event, Comr Frank Eme Orji , the New NANS Zonal rep / ASG of NANS Zone B led the  powerful delegation to the office of the Provost of the College, Dr Philips O Nto  and  the meeting officially commenced as the delegation was given a warmth reception and officially received.
  Shortly after all the necessary protocols was duly observed and official presentation of the New NANS Zonal Rep of the state/ ASG of NANS Zone B , Comr Frank Eme Orji .
The Leader of the Powerful delegation , Comr Cokey Lordson Nwachukwu , the immediate past Zonal rep , appreciated the Provost , Dr Philips Nto who doubles as his lecturer at Michael Okpara university umudike for his gigantic strides geared towards promoting the image of ASCETA , Academically , socially and as well in the infrastructural development of the college which has given the College a new face unlike how it was in recent time, he equally sighted lots of emulative instances when it comes to academia  been displayed by the Provost as his lecturer.
 He further presented some of the Major and pertinent issues affecting Nigerian Students in the campus, which involves the state of the students union Government in the school and need for an election, lack of students union Government Secretariat , appeal for reduction of the Sum of Hundred thousand naira ( N100,000.00) for collection of NCE Original Certificate and that of the Students union Government shuttle.
 In response, Dr Philips O Nto, the Distinguished Provost of ASCETA, Welcome the Delegation once more and Commended the leadership of NANS in Abia state for their high level of responsibility , maturity, comportment and maximum representation in academics , politically and otherwise. He sighted his days at University of Nigeria Nsuka ( UNN ) and his activeness in the students union which was a bedrock to his current status in life and urge the students leaders to continue on the right path as he is very happy and proud that the community has produced capable hands that will take over from them when they are done.
 Responding to the state of students union Government in the campus, he expressed optimism about Comr frank, the new NANS Zonal rep who he inherited as SUG President  when he assumed office as the Provost of the school, he made lots of commendation about his leadership as SUG President and said he lost interest in the students union after he left office as a great gap was created but he concluded by giving his approval for an election to be conducted by January and must be supervised by NANS, he gave justifiable reasons  as regards to why the increment in collection of NCE Original Certificate but reduced it from hundred thousand naira (N100, 000.00) to Twenty two thousand naira only (N22, 000.00) on the grounds that NCE Graduates should endeavor to pick it up from now to March 3rd 2020 , he assigned and approved that the students union Government Secretariat be relocated to former School of Business and directed the Deputy Provost to supervise the relocation with immediate effect and requested for what the broke down students union Government's vehicle will cost so as to put it in order so as to enhance the students movements..
 The leader of the Powerful delegation, Comr Cokey lordson Nwachukwu called on the New NANS Zonal rep, Comr frank Eme Orji for the vote of thanks who sincerely expressed their profound gratitude for his response and warmth reception, stating that he is indeed a students friendly Provost and assured him of their unallowed support and best wishes..
  Lastly, the Powerful delegation collectively prayed for the Provost as directed by Comr. Cokey lordson Nwachukwu for greater elevation and divine Protection as he sets to leave office by 3rd of march 2020 and the prayer was summarized by Comr Orji Grace Ezinne, the Financial Secretary of Degree unit Students Association (DUSA) ASCETA Chapter and an official photograph was taken and the powerful delegation also exchanged pleasantries with the  Chairman of College of Education Academic Staff union ( COEASU , ASCETA Chapter). NANS Abia State visits Abia Chief of Staff

NANS Abia State Pays Courtesy Visit to the Chief of Staff to Governor of Abia state.

 The leadership of NANS Abia state axis on 12th Dec. 2019 pays courtesy visit to Dr. ACB Agbazuere  , the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Abia State at his office in Government house , umuahia.
 The powerful delegation which was led by The NANS Zonal rep , Comr.frank Eme Orji and accompanied by Hon.Chibuzo Ndom, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students affairs. The powerful delegation comprises of the SUG Presidents of various schools in Abia State, Comr Cokey Nwachukwu, immediate past NANS Zonal Rep, Comr Modesta Ngozi , NANS National Rep,Comr Ikenna Benjamin Balogu, NANS Stakeholders Chairman Abia State,  Other NANS Comrades and Stakeholders of NANS.
 After the recitation of the Aluta National anthem, the Leader of the delegation , Comr Frank Eme Orji officially introduced the members of the delegation, while speaking, he Officially Congratulated the Chief of staff on his well deserved appointment thereby applauding the Governor for making a wise choice, he briefly talked about innovative programs which includes campaign against Social vices in the campus  that will however create impacts in the students community, job creation for former Students leaders and also talked about the Case of the Suspended SUG President of Abia State College of health, Aba and Called on the Immediate past Zonal Rep, Comr. Cokey Nwachukwu who consolidated on the already above mentioned points but also presented an official document which contains the report as regards to the President's suspension and stressed the need for him to be re -instated.
Immediately after his submission, Hon. Chibuzo ndom, SA on Students affairs to the Governor, appreciated the Chief of staff for his audience and gigantic strides towards the growth and development of the state , thereby citing lots of emulating instances the Chief of staff genuinely displayed regardless of his exulting Status quo.
 The Chief of Staff, in response, Sincerely appreciated the delegation for finding time to congratulate him, he expressed concern on the innovative program and campaign against Social vices in the campus , more especially on the students involvement on cultism , he stressed the need why students should abstain totally from it but to focus more on why they were sent to school citing lots of motivational instances. In a nut shell, he assured to look into the case of the Suspended SUG President and promised to partner with the leadership of NANS Abia Axis to make Our community a better place...

NANS Zone B ASG Elect pays S.A (Gov) Student Affairs a Congratulatory Visit

The Asst. Sec Gen of NANS Zone B, who doubles as the Zonal Rep Elect of Abia State, Comr Eme Orji Frank on Monday, 2nd of December 2019 led a powerful delegation of all SUG Presidents within the state on a congratulatory visit to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Comr Chibuzo Ndom
The visit which was primarily to congratulate the Special Assistant on his reappointment, this showed that he really delivered during the last tenure thus granting more confidence on the part of the Students friendly Governor to reappointment him to the same office.
The SUG Presidents then made clear to the Special Assistant on Students Affairs that Comr Frank remains the only recognized Zonal Rep of the state and as such detach themselves from any other party claiming such position.

Certain burning issues bothering on the maintenance of peace and civility within the student community were further discussed. Hence, plans are ongoing to ensure that the vision of our amiable Governor for the well-being of the students in the state are effectively achieved in the best interest of Nigerian Students, Leaders and Stakeholders.

The student leaders concluded by pledging their unwavering support and faith in the government of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu as he continues to execute positive life changing projects for the good people of Abia state.

NANS Abia State Congratulates The Speaker, Abia House of Assembly.
The Student community in Abia State under the platform of National Association of Nigerian Students, Abia State Axis felicitates with Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji (Ikuku Abia), Speaker Abia House of Assembly.
The Speaker who was recently awarded as "Best House of Assembly Speaker" during the just concluded Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards 2019 held at Sheraton Hotels and Towers,  Abuja.
The Zonal Rep Elect, Comr Eme Orji Frank describes the award as befitting as the Speaker has lived and served up to expectations, he wishes the speaker better accomplishments and more recognitions as his (Speaker) good works will keep speaking for him.
Comr Eme Orji Frank further assured the Speaker of the undiluted support of the students community towards his administration and that the students are always ever ready to work with him.

NANS Abia State pays Courtsey call to Commissioner for Education

The National Association of Nigerian Students, Abia State Axis yesterday 28th November, 2019 paid a courtesy call to the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Kanelechi N. K. Nwangwa. The delegation which was led by Comr Eme Orji Frank, Zonal ASG Elect. The delegation which constituted Comr Modesta Ngozi, the NANS National Rep, Comr Jasper Mba (NANS Stakeholder), Comr Emeka Kenneth, Comr Paschal (Passilo), Comr Ohuoba Smile (SUG President, ABSU), Comr Otuonye Famous (MOUAU President Elect) Comr Jonadab (ABSCOHTEC SUG President), Comr Iroegbu Precious (SUG Sec Gen, ABSU), Comr Henry (SUG President, School of Nursing FMC), The SUG President of School of Nursing, Amachara who was represented by his Vice president, Comr Ryder Okereke, and a host of other comrades on ground.
The opening prayer was led by Comr Iroegbu Precious. The Zonal Rep Elect, Comr Eme Orji Frank started by introducing the delegates present from NANS, he apologized to the Commisoner for not been able to make the visit on Tuesday as earlier scheduled and appreciated him for accepting the visit today. He assured the commissioner for the undiluted support of NANS towards his tenure. He then went ahead to appeal on some issues which are of paramount interest to the Nigerian students, these issues include equipping the E-libraries of various institutions and provision of Wi-Fi to enable smooth research, to assist School of Nursing, Amachara in procuring power supply to enable them study effectively, to carry the students community along especially in empowerment and provision of employment for past student leaders.
The Commissioner in his response, appreciated the delegation for their visit, he was happy that the request made by the students community was in line with academic issues as this shows the students are focused. He went further to advise the delegation on dignity of labour, as such, should be proud of anything he/she finds himself in. The Commissioner assured the delegates of his unwavering support towards the community and promised them free assess to him anytime they are in need. The Commissioner went ahead to brief the delegates on the new policy of the state government towards skill acquisition which include  E 4 E (Education for Empowerment) and is targeted towards the students community. The Commissioner encouraged the delegates to advise other students and encourage them towards keying into the empowerment program as in no distant time, it'll kick off.
Comr Jasper Mba, gave the vote of thanks while Mrs Josephine, a Director present said the closing prayer.

NANS Abia Axis visits ABSCOHTECH, urge Rector to reinstate SUG President

NANS Abia Axis meets with the Rector and management team of ABSCOHTECH, ABA.

 Sequel to the Suspension of Comr. Jonadab Ebere, the SUG President of Abia State College of Health Technology, Sciences and Management Technology Aba by The Management team of the Above mentioned Institution under the Rector, Prof. Eziama Felix.
 A Powerful delegation of NANS Abia State Axis led by the NANS Zonal Rep Elect, Comr. Frank Eme Orji alongside with the NANS National rep , Comr. Modesta Ngozi visit the Rector and the management team on 25th November 2019 over the Suspension of the union President on a fact finding mission.
 On the Arrival of the NANS Zonal Rep elect, Comr Frank from Umuahia, he joined the National rep, Comr. Modesta and the powerful delegation to the office of the dean Students affairs as courtesy demands who officially received the delegation and led them to the office of the Rector.
 As the Rector and management team were ushered in , the Aluta Anthem was sited as directed by the NANS Zonal Rep. Immediately after that, the Rector called on the Zonal Rep to introduce the members of the delegation as he called on Comr. Samuel Igwe , former SUG President of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba who officially introduced the members of the delegation as the Rector also introduced his management team.
 The Rector , however appreciated the Delegation for deeming it worthy to pay them a visit , he equally stated in details what led to the Suspension of the SUG President and in response, The NANS Zonal Rep, who briefly commend the Rector for the audience and urged him to re instate the President and accept him back and to also allow him to write his Exams after he has sited instances emanating from what the Rector said. He also touched Exuberant fees briefly but called on Comr. Chigbu Godswill, A former SUG President of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba who constructively Spoke additional on the same matter and direct the Rector and team to do the needful, he was seconded by Comr. Samuel Igwe who gallantly told the Rector and management team on how the Students union Government are been run on other institution and also talk about the un necessary fees by the school and appeal for a redress , the NANS National Rep, Comr Modesta Ngozi took it up from there and made important analysis why the fees should be reduced unconditionally thereby directing the Rector and Management team to act as soon as possible. Comr Chibuike Nwaejike, the Former SUG President of the institution also seconded the motion after citing lots of instances during his time in office and urge the rector and team to do the needful for the interest of Nigerian Students.
 The Rector responded after a brief response from the deputy Rector to look into some of the issues that has been tabled down and also stated that the matter resulting the Suspension of the President is in court but the Zonal Rep , Comr Frank in summary stated that the rector and management has what it takes to withdraw the case and to also re instate him, he equally told the Rector that they will be anticipating to hear from him within one week on a positive angle.

  Comr. Frank Eme Orji , the immediate Past NANS JCC Chairman of Abia State who is also a former Students union President of ASCETA and currently the Newly Elected Assistant Secretary General of NANS Zone B as well as the Zonal Rep Elect of Abia State Gladly Felicitate and Celebrate Leader Sheriff Zadok Eboh as he is plus one. He decribed him as a leader per excellence, stating that his Numerous Contribution towards human growth and development speaks great magnitude of his Personality which has Proven him worthy without doubts before the Government of Anambra State under Governor Obiano to appoint him as his SA on Students Affairs not considering his State of Origin.
 He equally Sited that leader Sheriff's positive impacts in the Students Community at large has contributed immensely in attributing unconditional Standard and relevancy in all ramification and as such he is a man that deserves to be honored and celebrated.
 He went further to urge him to continue his good works and also wish him a happy birthday and ask God to grant him all his heart desires and continue to guide him in all his endeavors..

Zone B ASG Elect Congratulates the Global President of NANS

The ASG Elect of NANS Zone B, Comr Eme Orji Frank congratulates the global President of NANS, Comr Danielson Bamidele Akpan on his been conferred with an Award of Excellence by the people of Akwa Ibom leaving in Abuja.
The Zonal Rep Elect of Abia State referred to the Global President as a Leader who has put the interest of the students a priority and as such, isn't surprised with the nomination and conferment of the award. He assured the President that his good works will keep bringing him better and greater recognition and surely, as the reward for good work is more work, he'll be appreciated with more work in the nearest future.

NANS goes on a working visit to Amachara

The Zonal Rep elect, Comr Eme Orji Frank led a powerful delegation on a working visit  today, been the 21st day of November, 2019 to School of Nursing, Amachara. The delegation which comprised the NANS Stakeholder Chairman, Comr Ikenna Benjamin Balogu. Stakeholders on ground included Comr Jasper Mba. Comrades present included Comr Emeka Kenneth, Comr Otuonye Famous (MOUAU President Elect), Comr. Paschal (Passilo),Comr. Amusuo Cajetan, Comr Phebby Aniche (Rep, Absu SUG President), Comr Henry (SUG President of School of Nursing, FMC.) and other NANS Comrades.
The SUG President, School of Nursing, Amachara, Comr Onobia Obialor who gave the welcome speech recieved the delegation happily as he stated when he appreciated them for accepting his invitation. He went ahead to state challenges been faced which included Mobility for the student nurses, more hostel accommodation and more power supply to enable his students function academically. He expressed regrets for the delegation not been able to meet the school management as the Principal wasn't around, he then requested the delegates pay another visit to enable him introduce them to the school management.
The Zonal Rep elect, who appreciated the President for inviting NANS, applauded his zeal to serve the students and assured him the issues will be looked into, he then called some stakeholders and Comrades to give the President pieces of advice that'll help his administration. The Chairman, NANS stakeholders, Abia State Comr Ikenna Benjamin Balogu, who spoke on the issue, thanked the President for deeming it fit to inviting NANS to the school and for been selfless as everything he requested was for the benefit of the students and not the pockets of the executives, he assured that these problems will be channeled through the appropriate quarters and that in no distant time, the Government of Abia State will look into their case. He clearly commended the executives for their team work and urged them to keep it up.
The vote of thanks was given by the Director for Finance, Comr Olekanma Chizurim and the delegates went on inspection to observe first hand, the State Of issues in the school.
