HON. UKO NKOLE KEEPS PROMISE, PROVIDES RELIEF MATERIALS FOR STUDENTS

As earlier promised, the Rep member representating Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole provided relief materials for students within his constituency.

The event which took place at his hometown at Arochukwu was graced with students from the different villages which compromised the constituency. The delegation of students was led by Comr. Frank Eme Orji (NANS Zonal Rep, Abia State), who was accompanied by Hon. Comr Udom Chibuzor (SA (Students) to the Governor) and Hon. Comr. Idika Agwu  Okpo. The Zonal Rep started by introducing all those present, then went ahead to commend the  Rep member for his benevolent act, as he sighted Hon. Uko Nkole, the first person to remember the students community. He thanked the Hon. member for his good works in his constituency and requested other public office holders to emulate same. He also went ahead to request the Hon. member in more palliative measures especially, provisions of work to student leaders who have graduated.

Hon. Uko Nkole, in response to the Zonal Rep, appreciated the students so far, for their good conduct as he urged everyone not to misbehave during this period, he further went ahead to caution students from making derogatory statements against persons in media, especially the
government of the day. He further went ahead to list his achievements for the year and hinted on his moves towards Attracting Songhai farms, which when completed, will employ up to 100,000 youths. He stated some other projects which are still ongoing as he pledged to serve his people in spirit and in truth, as that was the reason why he was elected. He went ahead to promise that he'll have town hall meetings with his students henceforth on quarterly basis.

The SA on Students Affairsto the Governor, Hon Comr Udom Chibuzor, who was present thanked the Hon member for his kind gesture. He stated he wished other public office holders could do the same as this will reduce pressure on the part of the state government as he sighted a recent plea from Abia State students in diaspora especially from the kingdom of Morocco, who currently are calling on the Government to come to their aid during this pandemic. Hon. Chibuzor went ahead to disclose the actions of the state government towards aiding the masses this period as he appreciated the Hon. member for indirectly helping the government.

Hon. Uko Nkole in his vote of thanks, thanked everyone present for coming and promised to abide by everything he earlier said. He donated bags of rice, cartons of indomie and hand sanitizers.
The Zonal Rep then called on all students present to pray for Hon. Uko Nkole for God to keep blessing him and granting him more success. A closing prayer was said and everyone dispersed , happily.

It is worthy to note that Hon. Uko Nkole is the first person to recognize the students community during this pandemic which led to total lockdown and as such, the students community are grateful.
